Wearable tech now extending to Dogs

Companies like Tagg, WhistleFitBark and Voyce have developed wireless pet trackers that attach to a pet’s collar to monitor various parameters, much like they do with humans.

According to a report, Americans will spend $55 million on their pets per year, so what better way than to be able to track your Dog’s health, activity level, and location, that equipping them with their own wearable?

The technology is exactly the same as the wearables we are used to, utilising a cellular network or WiFi to sync data to a dashboard for easy reading.

GPS locators for pets aren’t a new thing, but perhaps wearables that track more granular information such as health status is exploring an untapped market, but could it take off?
